African American History Month provides a unique opportunity to integrate different disciplines in Montessori education, even in our toddler classrooms. It is never too early to begin teaching our children about black history. One simple way is to start reading books which are beautifully illustrated, age appropriate and draw the attention of the students. Here, they are learning about Ruby Bridges and how schools were separated during segregation.
