The weather is getting cooler in South Florida and we are getting our little gardens ready. Often, there is that common misconception that gardening is an activity best suited for the elderly. However, in Montessori practical life we believe that through garden play and work, children acquire and improve crucial skills. Not only that, but they have fun, engage their senses, they learn responsibility, explore texturing, and grow their curiosity in species. By taking care of our garden, children get to know what teamwork is all about, being with family and friends!
