The golden bead material specifically introduces the students to concepts in the formation of complex numbers and the process of addition, subtraction, division and multiplication. Montessorians use this approach, as we believe children learn through sensory exploration. The Montessori philosophy suggests that children are naturally drawn to mathematical activities in order for them to understand the world.
