Ana Cristina Henriquez, an award-winning author and filmmaker, visited the lower elementary classes today to read her bilingual book called “The Moon, Julia, and the Telescope” (La Luna, Julia y el Telescopio) to the students. Afterwards, some volunteer students summarized the story in their own words and the students engaged in an interactive question and answer session with the author. Everyone enjoyed the visit and Ana said that she wished she had come to such a beautiful school when she was a child.
