Cosmic work serves as an idea to support the symbiosis of all things. It is a cornerstone of Montessori philosophy. All things are interconnected. Cosmic education starts with the whole (e.g. the universe) and works towards parts (e.g. individual cultures, history, geography, life forms, etc.) After cosmic education children have a clearer understanding of their natural world and consequently, have a clearer understanding of themselves. Children will develop a sense of gratitude that comes from exactly that awareness.
