In our Erdkinder curriculum in middle school, students weed, mulch, water, plant, and harvest in our community. In this way, our work with academic studies becomes more meaningful. Topics such as biology, soil chemistry, ecology, botany, and geology become very relevant and the understanding of the subject matter is clear.

Not only this, but social experiences are apparent while working outside. Students have to collaborate and work as a team. Last week we received new mulch to refurbish our garden bed, and wood to work on our S.T.E.M. projects. Our work is in full progress!
