Peer tutoring in Montessori occurs naturally. However, our older students also tutor younger students. This hands-on nature of Montessori enables learning through imitation and observation. This is beneficial to both the tutor and the child being tutored. Studies have also shown that students who participated in peer tutoring performed significantly better in reading, math, and language than those participating in the standard method of teaching. This provides Summit-Questa students an excellent environment for teaching and learning.
