The power of storytime:
In our Redwoods classroom the students were reading the book “Make Way for Ducklings” by Robert McCloskey. This interactive storytime is used in Montessori education to introduce new ideas, teach new concepts and introduce or extend lessons.
Students, no matter if virtual or on-campus, work together to form ideas about themselves and their surroundings. Through this powerful experience students connect emotionally and grow their attention span.
