Yom Kippur – The holiest day of the year

Most of our Jewish families observe this holy day with a day-long fast and intensive prayer, often spending most of the day in synagogue services.
As a symbol of purity, it is customary to wear white. This is a way to atone and seek God’s forgiveness.
The shofar is blown in synagogue services at the very end of Yom Kippur.
