Our students are busy gardening throughout Summit-Questa Montessori School. Not only is it a great life skill but it also teaches environmental awareness. March is the flower blooming season in Florida and our students make full use of that. Begonia, bougainvillea, roses, gardenias, hibiscus, oleanders, and camellias all have their March fan base.
We are so lucky to be able to plant both warm and cold season plants here in Florida. Luckily, most of our plants are in garden beds or are higher up, as we always have some iguanas around. They just love to eat our plants.
